This role is responsible for interpreting blueprints/electrical drawings and for using manufacturer and PH’s software systems to produce quotes for customers. This position requires strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects in the bid stage and, when the project is released, to manage these projects with our sales team, engineers, and end-users.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares and submits customer quotations/proposals to secure sales and provide customer service including quantity, product, price, delivery and terms and conditions.
Communicates with customers and suppliers to discuss material specifications, clarify, and confirm bill of materials.
Negotiates pricing and identify alternatives for special or custom orders.
Coordinates receipt of all required information for the preparation of final quotation submittal.
Communicates with customers to resolve problems with projects during the bidding and during the releasing of the bill of material
Tracks open/outstanding quotations/orders with customers and suppliers to determine status and negotiate completion.
Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting, communication, and documentation. Act as a source of technical gear expertise within the branch.
Interact with customers to suggest gear products to be used on all types of projects.
Continual follow-up with the customer that includes but not limited to shipping schedules
Keep end-users and PH up to date with billing of the project
Work with our management to fully understand the requirements that meet the needs of our end users.
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a Technical field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in lieu of degree.
Excellent communication including both written and verbal.
Strong customer service orientation.
Low and medium voltage systems knowledge preferred.
Proficiency in software applications such MS Office, Excel, and ERP (Solar Eclipse and SE Advantage) systems.
Schneider, Square D, or other related gear manufacturer product knowledge a plus.
Job Management experience a plus.
Proficient in 1-lines and take-offs.
