Accounting Manager

Summary:


The Accounting Manager will oversee the company’s financial operations and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all accounting activities. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit coordination while providing financial insights that support strategic business decisions.

The Accounting Manager will work closely with executive leadership, operational teams, and vendor partners to ensure financial performance aligns with organizational goals in a fast-paced technology consulting and VAR partner environment. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and plays a critical role in supporting the company’s growth, operational efficiency, and financial transparency.

 Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare and publish timely financial statements, management reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance and identify variances against budget and forecast, providing insights to guide management decision-making.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Asst CFO in preparing financial files for annual tax filings.
  • Assist CFO in the annual audit process, coordinate documentation, and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
  • Support leadership with financial modeling and scenario analysis for business planning.
  • Establish and maintain strong financial reporting systems and accounting processes that support operational growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership across departments to align financial management with business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation related to vendor partner programs, rebates, incentives, and project-based consulting revenue.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Expert knowledge in Quickbooks and advanced Excel skills required
  • 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a mid-size company environment
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience managing financial audits and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Familiarity with Salesforce preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial reporting tools using Microsoft Excel
  • Professionalism, accountability, and responsiveness in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
