Senior QA Test Automation SDET Engineer

Location: Remote (the first week will be onsite in Fort Worth but 100% remote after that)
Type: long-term contract
Role Overview: Providing QA consulting, test automation, execution, and governance across enterprise initiatives using modern testing frameworks and AI-driven solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
    • Providing QA consulting and recommendations on testing solutions, tooling, and best practices across initiatives.
    • Creating and executing test plans and test cases as assigned.
    • Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Playwright, TypeScript, and Python.
    • Applying AI tools and exploring the application of AI tools for testing to accelerate test creation, optimization, and execution.
    • Coordinating test execution efforts and serving as the central point of communication for QA activities.
    • Fulfilling QA user stories and performing user story validation.
    • Providing feedback to the development team and leadership.
    • Ensuring QA best practices and guidelines are consistently implemented across all teams.
Detailed Activities:
    • Consulting: Evaluate and recommend QA tools, advise teams on test automation strategies, and review team QA processes.
    • Hands-On Execution & Automation: Build robust automated test suites using Playwright with TypeScript and Python, execute manual and automated tests, and assist with troubleshooting and defect validation.
    • AI Integration: Leverage AI tools and innovative testing methodologies for intelligent test generation, maintenance, and quality analysis.
    • Coordination: Coordinate test execution across multiple teams, facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders, track and report QA metrics and status, and lead QA review sessions.
    • Governance: Monitor adherence to QA best practices, provide guidance on standards, conduct process assessments, and recommend process improvements.
